And, get ready for a grand finale! 🎭 Our Buddies get to perform on stage at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts as part of MHLV Dance School's annual recital! 🌈 Join us for an unforgettable experience that's all about friendship, fun, and movement! 🌟

Individuals with special needs enjoy weekly visits in their homes from pairs of volunteers, giving parents respite while the child enjoys homemade fun with his/her friends. This program has created lifelong friendships between the volunteers, the participants and their families.

Friendship Walk & 5k
Join us on February 8, 2026, at Godwin Park (5101 Rutherglen Dr.) for the Houston Friendship Walk/5K—a day all about coming together as a community to celebrate inclusion, friendship, and every individual we’re proud to support.
This annual event helps raise crucial funds and awareness for Friendship Circle, a nonprofit organization supporting individuals with disabilities and their families. Whether you’re running the 5K, walking the 1-mile fun run, or cheering from the sidelines, your presence truly makes a difference.

MVP
The Mitzvah Volunteer Program (MVP) gives Bar/Bat Mitzvah aged teens an opportunity to do a Mitzvah Project that will truly impact their lives. The program is a four week series of workshops that will teach the participants about giving back to the community and will empower them with important skills for interacting with and including their special friends.
It will change the way participants view others, act towards one another, the community, society and more importantly, the way they view themselves. It is the perfect way for young teens to prepare for their Bar/ Bat Mitzvah.
The curriculum created for MVP includes inspirational speakers, multimedia presentations, hands on volunteering and other interactive activities. Following the course, each group creates a Mitzvah project together, using the resources and information from the program.

Join us for Buddies in Motion, a super fun and inclusive dance program that's one Sunday a month! 🎉 Our dynamic dance sessions are designed for kids with special needs to shine, build confidence, and make new friends. 🤩
With the help of our amazing teen volunteer buddies, we'll dance, laugh, and learn together in a supportive environment. Plus, our peer-based model promotes empathy, understanding, and celebration of abilities. 🌟
And, get ready for a grand finale! 🎭 Our Buddies get to perform on stage at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts as part of MHLV Dance School's annual recital! 🌈 Join us for an unforgettable experience that's all about friendship, fun, and movement! 🌟

MVP
The Mitzvah Volunteer Program (MVP) gives Bar/Bat Mitzvah aged teens an opportunity to do a Mitzvah Project that will truly impact their lives. The program is a four week series of workshops that will teach the participants about giving back to the community and will empower them with important skills for interacting with and including their special friends.
It will change the way participants view others, act towards one another, the community, society and more importantly, the way they view themselves. It is the perfect way for young teens to prepare for their Bar/ Bat Mitzvah.
The curriculum created for MVP includes inspirational speakers, multimedia presentations, hands on volunteering and other interactive activities. Following the course, each group creates a Mitzvah project together, using the resources and information from the program.

Boxing with Buddies
Join us at Legends Boxing Meyerland for a 1-hour "Boxing with Buddies". This special event is sensory-friendly and exclusively open to members of Friendship Circle. With a trained instructor on hand, you can feel confident learning the basics of boxing in a supportive and understanding environment. Don't miss this opportunity to have fun and get active with your friends. We can't wait to see you there! RSVP is a must!

Friendship Bakery
Adults eighteen and older with special needs have the opportunity to learn important skills and gain work experience through The Friendship Bakery. From mixing ingredients and baking, food safety, decorating desserts, to packaging finished products and delivering the delicious treats and challah to your door, our students are involved in it all.

Torah Circle
Sunday mornings come to life at an innovative program filled with Jewish educational, social-recreational fun, & community Integration. Peers and participants of all abilities pair up to enjoy the experience together!
This is for children ages 4-10 years old, and will be held at the space to the right of Meyerland Minyan, 9002 Chimney Rock Rd, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm.

Friends at Home
Individuals with special needs enjoy weekly visits in their homes from pairs of volunteers, giving parents respite while the child enjoys homemade fun with his/her friends. This program has created lifelong friendships between the volunteers, the participants and their families.
